Venice is a 1971 Venetian saloon boat, fully restored and now running electric — which means no engine noise, just the sound of water against the hull as you move through the canal belt. Up to twelve guests, a private captain, and at least an hour on the water with only your group on board.

The Venice has the proportions of an older era: lower to the water, wood-finished interior, and the kind of unhurried lines you don't see on modern builds. On warm days the boat opens up completely so everyone can sit outside. When the weather turns, there's shelter and the same views through the windows. “We did a canal tour a few weeks ago. Our Captain was Dierderik (hope I spelled that correctly!). It was a fabulous experience. We got the prosecco and cheese/snacks option which was wonderful. He was able to go through a lot of history on the way which was great. We covered a lot of ground from small canals all the way out to the station where the river cruises dock, so it was great to pack this much in without having to walk everywhere. The boat was wonderful, and when it started briefly raining we had the cover up but sides open so fresh air still came through and pictures still possible. Would highly recommend!”
