Luxury Small Group Canal cruise
What dining on an Amsterdam canal cruise really looks like
A dinner cruise in Amsterdam is rarely a formal sit-down meal. Most boats serve food and drink while you sail, and that is what you can book here: 7 private cruises and 4 shared cruises, from a pizza or barbecue boat for a group to a Dutch cheese tasting for two.
Private food boats for 2 to 30 guests
The pizza, BBQ and tapas boats are private charters: you hire the whole boat with a skipper, and the price is per person, so it scales with your group. The pizza boat serves one pizza each from a choice of five. The barbecue boat comes with meat, vegetarian options and sides, and the tapas boat serves a varied selection. All three include an open bar of beer, wine and soft drinks.
The wine tasting adds a sommelier and six wines. Food is not part of it, but a cheese platter can be added as an extra.
Shared cheese cruises
For a couple or a small group, the shared Dutch cheese cruises are the easy choice: about an hour on the water with cheese and drinks, booked per person.
Looking for a plated dinner?
We do not list a multi-course dinner cruise at the moment. If that is what you have in mind, get in touch and we will tell you what we can arrange. Planning for 20 or more? See group bookings.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a multi-course dinner cruise?+
Not at the moment. What we offer is food and drink served while you sail: pizza, barbecue and tapas boats with an open bar, a sommelier-led wine tasting, and Dutch cheese cruises. If a plated multi-course dinner is what you are after, get in touch and we will tell you what we can arrange.
What food is served on these cruises?+
The pizza boat serves one pizza per person from a choice of five. The barbecue boat has meat, vegetarian options and sides, and the tapas boat serves a varied selection. The wine tasting pours six wines led by a sommelier, with a cheese platter available as an extra. The shared cruises serve Dutch cheese with drinks.
Are drinks included?+
On the pizza, BBQ and tapas boats, yes: an open bar of beer, wine and soft drinks is included. The wine tasting includes the wines you taste, and the shared cheese cruises include drinks. Each cruise page lists exactly what is covered.
How long do they last?+
The shared cheese cruises run about an hour to an hour and a half. The private food boats are booked in blocks of time, and the booking widget on each cruise page shows the lengths available.
Can dietary requirements be accommodated?+
Several listings include vegetarian options. For vegan, gluten-free or halal food, or for allergies, add a note when you book so the operator can confirm what is possible before the cruise. We cannot promise a specific menu on every boat.
Are they suitable for couples or groups?+
The shared cheese cruises suit couples and small groups, booked per person. The pizza, BBQ and tapas boats are private charters built for groups, with a minimum of ten guests. For 20 or more, our groups page has a dedicated enquiry form.
