Geertje is a 6.4 metre electric sloep for small groups. She has white leather couches, teak decking, a pop-up canopy, heating and a large self-service bar. She takes up to 8 guests and runs quietly, so you can talk without raising your voice.
This is a private charter of Geertje during the 15th edition of the Amsterdam Light Festival, from 26 November 2026 to 17 January 2027. The artworks are lit every evening from 16:30 to 23:00 (until 21:00 on 31 December). You leave from Keizersgracht 106. The canopy keeps the rain off, the heating takes the edge off a cold evening, and the open sides give you a clear view of the installations as you pass.
The cruise is in English or Dutch. There is no toilet on board. The Pure Boats office at Keizersgracht 92H has one nearby. Pets are welcome on private cruises. Bring something for your pet to sit on. Drinks are not part of the boat price. When you book you can add an open bar, champagne or catering.
These are the Pure Boats terms for private cruises. If you cancel up to 4 weeks before departure, 10% of the total price is charged. From 4 to 2 weeks before it is 25%, from 2 to 1 week before 50%, from 7 to 2 days before 75%, and within 48 hours the full price. You can change the date for free if the new cruise date is at least 2 weeks after you ask. Between 2 weeks and 48 hours before departure, changing the date costs EUR 100. “What a fantastic afternoon on the Danique! We live in Amsterdam ourselves, so you’d think we’ve seen the canals by now… but apparently not like this 😄 We had such a fun mix of Londoners and Americans on board, amazing weather, seriously good drinks and delicious sharing platters. But the absolute star of the tour was our skipper Floris — he was BRILLIANT! He seems to know absolutely everything about Amsterdam, including all the weird, funny little details you never hear about. And while casually telling us all these stories, he was navigating the Danique through the canals — half the time backwards — as if it was the easiest thing in the world 😂 Great atmosphere, great boat, great food & drinks and an even better skipper. Even as Amsterdammers, we absolutely loved it. Highly recommend!”
