Stan Huygens was the favourite boat of Freddy Heineken, whose own seat was the back booth. She has leather booth seating, an adjustable light plan, two bars (with Heineken on tap), a fully equipped kitchen and bulletproof windows that can be lowered fully on a mild evening. A toilet is on board.
Up to 36 guests fit for a cocktail hour. For a seated dinner there is room for 24 to 32 guests.
This is a private charter of Stan Huygens during the 15th edition of the Amsterdam Light Festival, from 26 November 2026 to 17 January 2027. The artworks are lit every evening from 16:30 to 23:00 (until 21:00 on 31 December). You can book 90 minutes or 3 hours. The boat leaves from Herengracht 128 and is heated, so a company outing or a large family group can stay warm and seated while the artworks pass by.
The cruise is in English or Dutch. Please be at the dock 10 minutes before departure. Pets are welcome on private cruises. Bring something for your pet to sit on. Drinks and catering are optional extras. When you book you can add an open bar, champagne, boards and brunch, lunch or dinner. Order food at least 24 to 48 hours before departure.
These are the Pure Boats terms for private cruises. If you cancel up to 4 weeks before departure, 10% of the total price is charged. From 4 to 2 weeks before it is 25%, from 2 to 1 week before 50%, from 7 to 2 days before 75%, and within 48 hours the full price. You can change the date for free if the new cruise date is at least 2 weeks after you ask. Between 2 weeks and 48 hours before departure, changing the date costs EUR 100. “What a fantastic afternoon on the Danique! We live in Amsterdam ourselves, so you’d think we’ve seen the canals by now… but apparently not like this 😄 We had such a fun mix of Londoners and Americans on board, amazing weather, seriously good drinks and delicious sharing platters. But the absolute star of the tour was our skipper Floris — he was BRILLIANT! He seems to know absolutely everything about Amsterdam, including all the weird, funny little details you never hear about. And while casually telling us all these stories, he was navigating the Danique through the canals — half the time backwards — as if it was the easiest thing in the world 😂 Great atmosphere, great boat, great food & drinks and an even better skipper. Even as Amsterdammers, we absolutely loved it. Highly recommend!”
