This is a private canal cruise in Amsterdam for up to twelve guests, departing from Keizersgracht 196 near the Westerkerk. The boat itself is over a century old, fully electric, and comes with a heated cabin, windows on all sides, and a toilet on board. A retractable roof means you can sit outside when the weather cooperates, or stay dry when it does not. Your captain and guide is Sebi, a local who knows the canals well and can shape the route around what your group wants to see.
The standard booking runs two hours, though the duration can be adjusted if you need more time. This is your boat for the afternoon or evening — no strangers, no fixed itinerary. Whether it is a birthday, a work outing, or a quiet afternoon with family, the tour adapts to you. Blankets are provided for anyone who wants to sit on the deck.
Catering is optional and added after booking. You can choose an open bar with wine, beer, soft drinks, and hot drinks for twenty euros per person, or order a Dutch platter with cheese and fried snacks, or a tapas selection with prawns, calamari, and albondigas. Bringing your own drinks is also fine — there is a corkage fee of fifty euros per hour. Free cancellation applies outside forty-eight hours, so plans can change without penalty. “Captain Sebi AND his boat were Amazing! I can see now why he has a 5.0 rating. First off, he and his Biz partner at the dock were Super friendly! We departed on time with a tour which only takes the most 10 people out. So you get a very personal experience with his boat tour. Sebi provides all the drinks you could imagine starting off with a quaint charcuterie. A little bit later into the canal excursion, he makes a very brief stop to pick up our warm tapas to enjoy for lite bites. Throughout, the entire trip, Sebi pointed out not only historical facts about Amsterdam and how it was built, but he also will point out beautiful canal landmarks too. What a very pleasant 2 hour excursion and really one of the best ways to see Amsterdam. As Sebi put it, many of the back yard canals we saw from the boat you really wouldn’t get some of those views from the street. Highly recommend Captain Sebi and his boat tour!”
