“⭐☆☆☆☆ Very bad experience. While paying with our credit card we got the message several times that the payment had failed. The staff told us the payment hadn't gone through and asked us to pay €50 in cash instead. We trusted this and paid in cash. Later, however, we saw that our credit card had actually been charged €50 twice anyway. As a result we ended up paying €150 in total for a single canal cruise. We tried to raise this issue, but we're very disappointed with how it was handled. So always check your bank account immediately before paying again. We hope Star Boats takes responsibility and refunds the wrongfully charged amount as soon as possible.”

“It was well worth it, in summer choose to do the tour after 6pm, it will still be very light out but the sun will have gone down already. An hour-long tour through several canals of Amsterdam.”

“So many options to choose from in Amsterdam but we enjoyed this one. It was extremely hot this day but they had water on board and umbrellas to help. We did the unlimited drinks and it was worth it as we both enjoyed 3 beers. It was cool to see the city by boat. Our skipper (forgetting her name) and guide (Stella) were great. Stella is from the states but has been living in Amsterdam a few years now and knew a lot about the city. It was only us and another group of 2 so it was basically a private ride which was really cool as well.”

“Warning: Illegal adult entertainment in residential canals Starboard Boats sells topless lap dances and stripteases, and their skippers repeatedly park in quiet residential canals for the "performance." Even after formal requests to stop, they continue to pull up directly in front of homes on the Uilenburgergracht for strip shows in full view of local families and children. They are repeatedly violating public decency laws (Art. 239 WvS) and their city exploitatievergunning (operating permit). This company has zero respect for the Amsterdam community or its residents.”
