This is a private canal cruise aboard a classic salon boat built in 1915, converted to electric propulsion six years ago. The result is a vessel that moves through Amsterdam's waterways almost silently, with none of the engine noise or diesel smell you get on larger tour boats. With space for up to ten guests, the boat fits comfortably through the city's narrower canals—routes the big boats simply cannot take.
The cruise runs for a minimum of ninety minutes, departing from the Amstel near the H'ART Museum. Before you set off, the skipper will talk through route options with your group. You might head into the Jordaan's quieter waterways, pass the Seven Bridges on the Herengracht, or take a route toward the Rijksmuseum and Leidseplein. If you're with children, the skipper can adjust to include the harbour area or pass by Artis Zoo. The itinerary bends to what you want to see.
The boat is heated and covered, so rain won't cut your evening short. There's an onboard bar—drinks can be added at ten euros per person per hour for unlimited service, or ordered à la carte. You're welcome to bring your own snacks. If you want something more, the team can arrange extras like flowers, a cake, or specific drinks with advance notice. Cancellation is free if plans change. “⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — 10 stars out of 5 I lived in Amsterdam many years ago and have done practically everything this city has to offer, including more than five canal cruises on the big tour boats. Nothing — and I mean nothing — compares to this experience. This is, by far, the number one thing to do in Amsterdam. My daughter Dacey and I were fortunate enough to have Vanessa, the owner herself, take us through the canals. The boat is wonderfully intimate, worlds apart from the crowded larger boats. With old French music playing softly in the background and truly five-star food, it felt less like a tour and more like being welcomed aboard by a friend who happens to know every canal and its stories. And we clearly weren't the only ones who noticed how special it was — people on the bigger boats kept pointing our boat out to their friends as we glided past. Jealousy was spread all over the water, and honestly, I understood them completely. Vanessa's warmth and knowledge made an already beautiful evening unforgettable. Of all my days in Amsterdam — and there have been many — this one with my daughter was among the most special. If you're debating between this and one of the big canal boats: don't......... Book this.”

Our great experience actually started the day before the tour. Although our initial email request accidentally went into their spam folder, Vanessa from the reception desk handled the situation perfectly when I called. Her phone service was outstanding, and she incredibly managed to arrange everything and accommodate all of our special requests for the very next day. On the day of the tour, our captain, Maurice, was fantastic—he was so kind and welcoming, making our breakfast cruise perfect.
