VR Voyage is the first product from XR Visuals Factory, a young Amsterdam company built around combining real canal cruises with historically accurate Extended Reality. Guests wear a VR headset through parts of the ride to see 17th-century Amsterdam recreated in detail, then remove it at the city's most scenic spots to take in the real, present-day view — described by the company as 'the perfect balance between the past and the present.' The tour runs aboard a covered, heated boat with a welcome drink included, with narration available in Dutch, English and Spanish.

“Een bijzondere en leuke boottocht door Amsterdam. Alles goed zichtbaar met de VR- bril. Mijn leesbril was niet nodig. Je gaat op een leuke manier door een stukje geschiedenis heen. De VR-bril heb je soms op en dan weer af. Onderweg wordt ook drank geschonken. Ik zou het best nog een keer willen doen! Leuk als uitje met familie of vrienden.”

“Kan ik van harte aanbevelen, zeer betrokken en enthousiaste kapitein en zijn maat die ons bij stond met raad en daad ( drinken, eten, antwoorden etc) Ik woon in Amsterdam en mijn familie meegenomen op deze tour. Je waant je in de Gouden eeuw, waarbij grappen en grollen van de voorouder van de kapitein een leuk sausje gaven aan het geheel.”
